Description:
Panorama Reef, Egypt. Panorama reef, nourished with almost constant, strong, nutrient rich currents, is exquisite for its abundance of vividly coloured soft corals and gorgonians, within which there is a kaleidoscope of small reef fishes; Lyretail anthias, damselfish, small groupers, snappers, squirrelfish and Lionfish, with occasional sightings of morays, Bluespotted stingrays and schooling barracuda. Most remarkable are the large numbers of turtles that may be observed during the summer. Although Hawksbill turtles are perhaps the most common, having nesting grounds in the area, Green turtles, Loggerheads and Leatherbacks may also be seen, since they are known to have nesting grounds at Ras Muhammed and at Tiran and Sinafir islands.
